Welcome to Lochgelly High School
Welcome to our Lochgelly High School website, the purpose of which is to share with our learners, staff, parents/ carers and partners useful information about our school.
We hope that by navigating through the different areas you gain a flavour of what we are all about in Lochgelly High and that it provides you with a sense of our values, the extracurricular offerings that are available and the ambitions that we have for our young people.
At Lochgelly High School we very much put our learners at the heart of our school and we are an inclusive community who are committed to delivering the very best quality of engaging learning experiences for all.
We believe that knowledge, skills and abilities are important not only for learning but for life and work and really care about the development of the young peoples’ confidence and aspirations as well as academic achievements. We are working hard to develop a culture of ambition and resilience.
The focus of our improvements continue to centre around three core areas:
Developing consistently excellent learning and teaching across the school
Continuing to build strong relationships with our learners, families and the local community that we serve
Growing our leadership across the whole school
We hope that you enjoy our site and finding out more about the school.
Please let me know if you have any comments or questions about the website and do not hesitate to contact us at any time if you need any further information or advice as we are always happy to help and very much have an open door.
Mrs Debbie Aitken
