We are delighted to announce that Lochgelly High School achieved the prestigious Digital Schools Award on the 29th March 2019.
Extract from Validation Report
My visit to Lochgelly High School was well organised to ensure I had the opportunity to discover a range of digital experiences available across the faculties. The supporting evidence was comprehensive and gave me a flavour of the work going on across the school.
Lochgelly High School is clearly on a mission to prepare its pupils for living and working in the 21st Century.
They are on a strong and purposeful pathway where pupils are benefiting from digitally enhanced learning and teaching and they are given sound guidance on ways of keeping themselves safe in their own digital worlds.
The teachers, Digital Technologies Co-ordinator and the SMT recognise they are on a journey and have come a long way, but they have plans for continuous improvement and I feel certain they will build on their successes to date and continue to grow together.
It is my recommendation that Lochgelly High School has achieved the Digital Schools Award (Scotland).
I also recommend they become a mentor school as they have the capacity to share and develop their skills with others.
