LGBT – Lochgelly High School
Lochgelly High School is an inclusive organisation. Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) staff, service users and young people should know we, as an organisation, will treat you with respect.
We are committed to ensuring that anyone who identifies as LGBT is treated fairly and has the same opportunities as anyone else.
For our young people who attend Lochgelly, we are aware that, if you think you may be LGBT, it can feel like you are alone and there is no support. Our staff will be happy to talk to you about any questions concerning sexual orientation or gender identity and will listen to you respectfully, without judgement.
Should you, your friends, or your family, wish to find out information on your own, the links to the LGBT website can help you. All links are available from the 'Related Sites' section of this page.
Lochgelly High School is committed to ensuring that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender young people (LGBT) experience a safe, inclusive and nurturing education.
The LGBT Charter process is a powerful, easy to use tool to help everyone in Lochgelly High School focus on the quality of support that we provide.
As part of the Charter we will be looking at our policy and practice, including our legislative obligations in the context of LGBT equality.
By displaying the LGBT Charter of Rights, we hope to send a positive message to LGBT people in the Lochgelly High School community that they are included, valued, supported and will be treated fairly when they access our service.
